Brigidine College is an Independent Catholic Girls' Secondary College Years 8-12 situated less than 8 kms from the centre of Brisbane city in Queensland, Australia. Our attractive campus is located on the corner of Ward and Fairley Streets, in the heart of Indooroopilly, close to rail and bus services.
Brigidine College bears the name of the Brigidine Sisters who founded it in 1929. Their philosophy “Fortiter et Suaviter” (Strength and Gentleness) has become our school motto and is reflected in every aspect of College life. We are justifiably proud of our excellent teaching and learning traditions. Our goal is for Brigidine students to grow as:
- Independent reflective learners
- Young women who image and practise service and social justice
Brigidine College is a close-knit community (around 600 students). The College is recognized as a nurturing, pastoral place. Strong connections are built between staff and students, allowing the girls to learn in a settled and an accepting environment We are committed to remaining a medium-sized school because we believe that it is important for every girl to be known and valued.
